Questions

What counts as commercial use?

Use in or for the work of a for-profit organization, beyond the 30-day evaluation. That includes internal company work, client work, and commercial product development.

Non-commercial use and work on open-source projects stay free with no time limit.

How does the 30-day evaluation work?

The Glider license permits evaluation inside an organization for up to 30 days. Install Glider and use it with full functionality. It needs no account, card, or license key.

Buy a subscription when your organization continues commercial use after the evaluation.

How do I activate a purchase?

Sign in to your account. Buy a subscription. A personal subscription assigns its seat to you automatically. For a team, invite each developer and assign a seat after they accept.

Each developer then signs in once from Glider or GliderTrace. The browser asks the developer to approve the device. One sign-in covers both products.

Activation needs Glider 13.2.0 or GliderTrace 1.4.0 or later. The license works offline through the paid period. See activation steps.

How do team seats work?

Buy seats for named developers. A billing administrator can manage team purchases without using a developer seat. Paddle verifies the payer separately for subscription management.

Invite employees, then assign an available seat after they accept. Each developer activates through their own account.

Glider includes GliderTrace for the same developer. One bundle cannot be split between employees.

An activated paid seat stays allocated until its offline grants expire. Removing a member blocks new grants, but cannot revoke an offline grant immediately.

Personal subscriptions cover one developer. New team purchases support 1–500 seats.

A team supports up to 500 members, including administrators. Administrators without developer seats still occupy membership slots.

Extra administrators can leave fewer membership slots than purchased seats. Each developer needs both membership and an assigned seat.

Paid support, model tokens, and hosted storage are not included.

Why do free packages expire?

Each release has a validity window so that old releases with known defects retire. New releases extend the free package window to 90 days from release. Older installed versions retain their original expiry.

Updates are free. A valid paid grant keeps a compatible package usable through its paid period, without monthly package updates.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Request a full refund within 14 days of any charge, including renewals. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period.

See the refund policy and commercial terms.

Do I need a subscription for Scout or Keep?

Not today. Scout and Keep are free for non-commercial use, open-source work, and a 30-day evaluation. Commercial use of either stays free of charge until we offer plans for it.

The Glider subscription covers Glider and GliderTrace only.

What do the prices include?

Prices are in USD per named developer and exclude applicable tax. Paddle, the merchant of record, calculates tax and shows the final total before payment. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

Paid support, model tokens, and hosted storage are not included.
